Marginal pond plants are water plants which grow in shallow water with their roots submerged and their leaves and flowers above the water surface in up to eighteen inches of water. Some plants in this category will also be happy in the bog garden.
These plants offer a large variety of form, colour and size to soften and add interest to the shallower margins of pond or lake. Marginal plants are also useful on river or stream banks and some are used to stabilise banks and prevent erosion.
We ship all water plants bare root, this means that we wash the soil off before packing plants. During the summer months we may need to trim some of the foliage back for shipping.
Please be aware that over the winter period we may need to delay sending orders due to snow or freezing conditions. We will contact affected customers and send orders as soon as conditions allow.
